Welcome to Affiliate Marketing Resources. This affiliate marketing website is designed to provide you with all the necessary information and guidance in understanding affiliate marketing; and finding the best resources, tools and affiliate marketing programs available. My intent is to present this to you in a simple easy to understand manner that hopefully will stop you wasting a lot of dollars on unnecessary products plus save you many hours of research.

To give you an overview of the Affiliate Marketing Resources website and some background about me, my name is Rosemary and I am based in Brisbane Australia. I am not going to tell you I'me an Internet Marketing Guru because I'me not, nor am I going to tell you I know nothing about computers or the internet because that's definetly not true nor did I have an epiphany which told me to be an affiliate marketer and my life would change overnight, because I didn't. What I can tell you is that I have a business, training and research background and for many years ran my own web design business. But I needed a change and yes I wanted to explore the option of improving my finances, let's be honest isn't that what most of us want?

My reason for developing this site grew from an awareness that there were many other marketing affiliates like me, who were in information overload to the point none of it made sense or there was just too much to sift through and identify the essential steps to get started. Basically it was all becoming too hard, but being the researcher and anally retentive person that I am I had started putting it all into some chronological order, when it occurred to me that a better option was to put the information online and hopefully as the site grew other affiliates could add or share their experiences. End result being a useful and beneficial resource for all interested parties. Okay thats the end of my spiel let's get right down to the basics and how to earn some money.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a way of making money online by promoting the products of another company for a commission on each sale you generate. People who promote products in this manner are called "affiliates", or sometimes "partners" or "associates". Most affiliates promote products through their websites, blogs, articles or email lists, but you're not restricted to these methods: Basically, anywhere you can put a website address or a hyperlink can be turned into a promotional vehicle -- the only limit is your imagination.

Affiliate marketing isn't a pyramid-selling scheme, and it's not a tool for scammers and spammers. Affiliates are regular people looking to earn some extra cash from their websites, or individuals wanting a serious work-at-home business that they can perform from anywhere in the world, with serious earning potential.

Even though you might be a novice on the internet it's quite easy to get started. The best choice is to join an affiliate program and take advantage of the marketing resources they provide. Then you will have the opportunity to earn while you learn as well as your learning curve is shortened. This way you will be in business fast and start earning money almost immediately.

Hi Rosemary,

I'm sure you'll get the comment thing sorted out. I'm glad you posted the thread in the RT forums about moving the comments below the article. I am following this thread as I want to know as well...

By the way you may want to delete these fake comments now that you have a real one I found those in the JComments under the Components menu up top in case you've not gone in there yet. I'm still learning Joomla and love the interaction on the RocketTheme Forums. I am learning a ton and well worth the price of the membership.

Hi Rosemary,

Looking good on the comments. I played with it all morning trying every possible way it could go. I finally settled on what I have now. It is like yours only I shortened the words a bit to give me enough room to have two side columns and still look good.

I can't get into the RocketTheme website to talk to you there. It has been unreachable all day for me but I keep getting email notifications from threads I'm subscribed to. Have to talk to you from site to site lol... I am paid up until Jan 3rd 2010 so I have no idea why I can't access their site. Can you get me their support email address and post it as a comment on my site or email it to me at grantwebtread.com and then you can delete this comment.

As far as the comments on top or bottom I can't decide yet which I like better. I tried all combinations earlier in the day. lol...
